Geography Bee: Alex Won 2nd Place Overall

Alex competed in the District level Geography Bee - and came away with second place!
What I did not realize was that at the District level, the students of all grade levels compete against each other. So he was a 5th grader competing against 4th through 8th graders.
He received a nice trophy and certificate, but the best prize in his eyes was a stack of books of photos and information about other places. A man in Duncanville, whos son won several years ago, now gives a large set of books to the winners as an additional prize.
Congratulations Alex - can’t wait till next year!
