These photos of my parents house after they returned to Beaumont following Rita were taken by Paulette, the neighbor across the street. They show the damage to the roof, and the large pile of limbs cleaned up from the damaged trees.

Cleaning Up
According to Mom, the trees took the worst of the damage in their area. The pear tree in the front yard had to come all the way down, and a large number of branches needed to be taken out of the other trees.

Home Again
Mom and Dad made it home today to Beaumont.
Mom said that it was terrible, the mess of the neighborhood. Tree damage was apparent as high as Jasper, and was worse as they came south.

Going Home
As of last night the schedule is for an ambulance to pick up Dad at 8:00 this morning and transport him directly to their house. The tree has been cleared from the driveway, and the air conditioning is on.
